Maroun Daccache graduated from the Istituto Universitario di Architettura Venezia [IUAV] in 1985, from where he also received a research doctorate in architecture in 1992. At the IUAV, Daccache taught with Augusto Burelli and worked in the group of Gianuggo Polesello. He returned to Beirut in 1992, where he started with a major commission, the Eye & Ear medical center in the northern suburbs of Beirut. Among the many projects he completed are the private residence Casa del Medico in Fidar [1993], Casa di Ghadir [2001], and the office building Il Risveglio in Beirut in 2003. Besides his activities as a practitioner, Maroun Daccache is currently a faculty member at the Lebanese American University.
