Frank Alcock was born in Caracas in 1962. He took a degree in Liberal Arts and Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design in 1984, and a Master's in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University in 1985. After completing his studies, he worked in New York with landscape architect Martha Schwarz as well as architects Frank Williams and Associates. Since 1989 he has worked in Caracas with his father, the renowned Venezuelan architect Jimmy Alcock, on a wide range of projects throughout Venezuela, the Caribbean, and the United States. He has taught design studios at Universidad José María Vargas in Caracas, and has been a speaker and critic a number of other Venezuelan Universities. He is a founding director of the Fundación Centro de la Ciudad, in Caracas.
