Franco Micucci, born in 1966, graduated from the Department of Architecture at Universidad Simón Bolívar in 1989. He obtained his Master's in Architecture and Urban Design from Harvard University in 1992. Micucci has worked with Koetter, Kim & Associates, as well as with architects Beckhoff, Frontado, and Larrañaga. Since 1993 he has been a professor of design at Universidad Simón Bolívar, and since 1995 a professor of urban design at the graduate level of Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas. In 2001 he won first prize in the Urban Design competition for the historic city center of Baruta, Venezuela.
